MakeBOF vs Arcads: which one fits TikTok Shop product videos?

If you want an Arcads alternative for TikTok Shop, check first which kind of video you need. Arcads turns a script into an ad where an AI actor talks to the camera, and it's aimed at brands running paid social. MakeBOF takes TikTok Shop products and turns each one into a short vertical product video, a whole batch at a time. You don't write a script, and nobody talks on screen.

Arcads doesn't publish a price list, so the Arcads pricing on this page comes from third-party write-ups and is labeled that way. We also work out what one video costs in each tool when you post every day across several accounts.

The short answer

Choose Arcads when you need an AI actor reading your script, in many languages, for paid ads. Choose MakeBOF when you post TikTok Shop product videos every day: a Standard video costs $0.20 to $0.38 on a paid plan, while third parties report about $11 per Arcads video. An Arcads video can be a two-minute actor ad and a MakeBOF video is an 8-second product clip, so part of that gap is a difference in what you get.

Pick MakeBOF if

  • You promote TikTok Shop products and would rather paste a product link or shop username than write a script for each one.
  • You need volume. Posting 5 videos a day across 3 accounts is about 450 videos a month.
  • You want the same look across a whole batch by picking a ready-made style.
  • You want a published price and a free plan to test with, no card needed.
  • You don't want to pay for failed videos. Credits are charged only when a video finishes.

Pick Arcads if

  • You need a person on screen: a hook or a product pitch spoken to camera from your script.
  • You want a large library of AI actors to choose from (its homepage advertises 1,000+).
  • You make ads in languages other than English. Third parties report 35 languages.
  • You need longer videos. Third parties report Arcads videos of up to 120 seconds.
  • You run paid social at scale and want an API or cloned actors, which reviewers say come with the custom Pro plan.

Arcads

  • Starter$110/mo (reported)10 videos a month, per eesel.ai (June 2026)
  • Creator$220/mo (reported)20 videos a month, per eesel.ai
  • ProCustom (reported)Higher volume, cloned actors and API access, per eesel.ai

Arcads doesn't publish prices: its pricing page returned a 404 on October 16, 2026, and plans show only after sign-up, so these are third-party figures (a credit-based breakdown on Creatify's blog lists different plans, starting with a $29 Lite plan). Arcads' terms say you must cancel at least 72 hours before the period ends, and unused credits are not refunded or carried forward.

What one short video costs

MakeBOF, from plan prices: Pro $19 / 50 credits = $0.38 per Standard video. Max $49 / 200 = $0.245. Scale $99 / 500 = $0.198. Pro paid yearly is $190 / 600 = about $0.32. Premium videos use 2 or more credits, so they cost at least double.

Arcads, from reported figures: Starter $110 / 10 videos = $11, and Creator $220 / 20 videos = $11 (eesel.ai, June 2026). Creatify's August 2026 breakdown counts about 880 credits for a captioned one-actor video on an 8,000-credit, $110 Starter plan: $110 / 8,000 x 880 = about $12.10.

The two prices buy different things. An Arcads video is a scripted actor ad that can run up to two minutes, while a MakeBOF video is one product clip of about 8 seconds.

What is Arcads?

Arcads (arcads.ai) makes video ads with AI actors. You write a script, pick an actor, and get back a clip of that actor saying your lines to the camera, in the style of a creator ad. It's built for performance marketers and DTC brands that run paid social campaigns. Its homepage advertises more than 1,000 AI actors, and third-party reviews report videos up to 120 seconds long in 35 languages.

Prices appear only after you sign up. Arcads' pricing page returned a 404 when we checked, and its terms describe a credit-based subscription that renews automatically. For the videos themselves, the terms grant you a "non-exclusive, personal and non-transferable license."

Where Arcads is the better choice

If the ad needs a face and a voice, use Arcads. MakeBOF has no talking avatars and no voiceover. Hooks delivered straight to camera and product pitches read from your script are what Arcads is built for.

It also covers more languages and longer videos. Third parties report 35 languages and clips of up to two minutes, while MakeBOF makes one English-captioned clip of about 8 seconds per product. Teams that buy ads at scale may also want the API and cloned actors, which reviewers say come with the custom Pro plan.

Arcads isn't the only avatar tool. If you're weighing presenter videos, our MakeBOF vs HeyGen page covers another one. If you want real people on camera instead of AI, Billo hires human creators.

Where MakeBOF is the better choice

MakeBOF is built for TikTok Shop affiliates and sellers. You paste a product link or a shop or creator username, and it pulls in the listings with their photos, price and sales. You can bulk import, and set a source to re-scrape every 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours so new products show up without you checking.

You pick a ready-made style instead of writing prompts or scripts. GirlyPop UGC try-on, That Price in-store find and Flash Sale are a few of them, and every video in the batch follows the one you pick. Each product becomes a 9:16 clip of about 8 seconds: MakeBOF makes an image of the product, turns it into video, then burns on captions with emoji. Standard videos use 1 credit. Premium uses 2 and can take several product photos as reference for a multi-shot clip.

Batches run on their own. Depending on your plan, 1, 2, 4 or 6 videos generate at once, the rest queue and start automatically, and you can watch progress live. Finished videos can be sorted by the TikTok accounts you post from. Credits are charged only when a video finishes, so a failed one costs nothing, and you can start on the free plan without a card.

Workflow: making 30 product videos in each tool

In Arcads

You'd write a script for each product, or one script you adapt 30 times, then choose an actor for each and generate. Everything the actor says about the product comes from your script. Thirty videos is more than the 20 a month eesel.ai reports for the Creator plan, so you'd need the custom Pro plan or two months of Creator.

In MakeBOF

Paste the shop username, select 30 products from the imported list, pick a style such as That Price, and queue the batch. On Max, four videos generate at a time and the rest start as slots free up. Each one comes back captioned and ready to sort into a posting account. Thirty Standard videos use 30 credits, which fits inside the 50 a month on Pro.

Cost at real TikTok Shop volume

Posting 5 videos a day across 3 accounts is about 450 videos a month. Here's what common volumes cost in MakeBOF with Standard videos:

  • 100 videos: Pro ($19, 50 credits) plus a 60-credit pack ($18) gives 110 credits for $37. Max at $49 gives 200.
  • 300 videos: Scale at $99 covers it with 500 credits.
  • 450 videos: Scale at $99 still covers it, which is about $0.22 per video ($99 / 450).

Arcads doesn't publish prices, so its side is an estimate. At the roughly $11 per video eesel.ai reports, 100 videos would be about $1,100 a month. That's well past the 20 videos a month on the reported Creator plan, so this volume would run on custom Pro pricing, and the real figure depends on the quote you get. For most affiliates, Arcads makes more sense for a handful of paid ads than for daily posting at this volume.

Using Arcads and MakeBOF together

The two tools don't overlap much, so some sellers could use both: Arcads for a few actor-led ads they put ad spend behind, and MakeBOF for the daily product clips that keep each account posting. If you go that way, keep the Arcads terms in mind. You must cancel at least 72 hours before the period ends, and unused credits aren't refunded or carried forward, so pick the plan that matches the number of ads you'll actually make.

Questions people ask

How much does Arcads cost?

Arcads doesn't publish a price list. Plans show only after sign-up, and its pricing page returned a 404 on October 16, 2026. In June 2026 eesel.ai reported a Starter plan at $110 a month for 10 videos, Creator at $220 for 20 and a custom-priced Pro plan, which is about $11 per video. A breakdown on Creatify's blog in August 2026 describes credit-based plans instead, starting with a $29 Lite plan. Check the live prices in your account before you subscribe.

Is Arcads good for TikTok Shop?

For talking-head ads you run as paid promotion, it can be. Arcads makes the actor-to-camera format that paid social teams use. We couldn't find a TikTok Shop integration, though, so products don't import and every video starts from a script. If you're an affiliate posting several product videos a day, the reported per-video price adds up quickly.

What's a cheaper Arcads alternative for TikTok Shop?

If you need product videos more than a presenter, MakeBOF costs $0.20 to $0.38 per Standard video on a paid plan, and the free plan gives you 10 credits a month with no card. The full plan list is in our pricing section. If you need an AI avatar specifically, MakeBOF won't do that, so compare avatar tools that publish their prices, such as Creatify.

How does Arcads vs MakeUGC compare with MakeBOF?

Arcads and MakeUGC both make AI-person UGC videos for DTC brands, so they're the closer pair. MakeBOF makes product clips without a presenter, built from your TikTok Shop listings. Our MakeBOF vs MakeUGC page covers that tool's plans and prices.

Does MakeBOF have AI actors like Arcads?

No. MakeBOF has no AI actors and no voiceover. Each video shows the product itself, made from its listing photos, with captions on top. If you need someone speaking to camera, Arcads or another avatar tool is the better fit.

Can I cancel Arcads at any time?

According to its terms, the subscription renews automatically, and you need to cancel at least 72 hours before the current period ends. Unused credits are not refunded or carried forward when you cancel, so plan your last month's videos before the cutoff.

Who owns videos made with Arcads or MakeBOF?

The Arcads terms grant you a non-exclusive, personal and non-transferable license on each video. MakeBOF's terms say you keep ownership of what you upload and, as far as the law and the AI providers' terms allow, of the videos it generates. If rights matter for how you'll use the videos, read both sets of terms.

How we compared

We read each tool's public pricing page, help docs and terms on October 16, 2026, and noted where their own pages disagree. MakeBOF figures come from our live plans. We make MakeBOF, so weigh that, and tell us at [email protected] if anything here is out of date and we'll fix it.
