MakeBOF vs InVideo AI: which fits TikTok Shop product videos?

InVideo AI is a general AI video editor. It puts many video models, a stock footage library and a timeline editor in one place, and it charges per seat in monthly credits. MakeBOF does one narrower job: it turns TikTok Shop products into short vertical promo videos, a whole batch at a time. If you're comparing MakeBOF vs InVideo AI, or looking for a cheaper InVideo AI alternative for product clips, the big differences are how your products get in and what each finished video costs.

Posting 5 videos a day across 3 TikTok accounts is about 450 videos a month. At that pace the price of one clip and the minutes you spend on it matter more than editing features.

The short answer

Pick InVideo AI if you need full edits with several scenes, stock footage, avatars, a choice of AI models and seats for a team. Pick MakeBOF if you post TikTok Shop product videos in volume: it imports your products, runs whole batches in one style, and a Standard video costs $0.20 to $0.38 depending on the plan, against about $0.84 to $1.71 for a 5-second 720p clip on InVideo by its own counts.

Pick MakeBOF if

  • You promote or sell TikTok Shop products and want to paste a product link or shop username instead of uploading photos one at a time.
  • You want dozens or hundreds of videos a month in one consistent style, with no prompt writing.
  • You want a low cost per clip ($0.38 on Pro, about $0.20 on Scale) and you only pay for videos that finish.
  • You want to try it first. The Free plan has 10 credits a month and needs no card.
  • You post from several TikTok accounts and want finished videos sorted by the account they're for.

Pick InVideo AI if

  • You need longer videos with several scenes, a timeline editor and stock footage.
  • You want many third-party AI models in one subscription, such as Veo, Sora, Kling and Seedance.
  • You want an AI avatar in the video. MakeBOF has no talking avatars or AI presenters.
  • Several people on a team will make videos, and you want per-seat plans built for that.
  • Your videos aren't about TikTok Shop products at all.

Pricing: MakeBOF vs InVideo AI

MakeBOF

  • Free$010 credits a month (10 Standard or 5 Premium videos), 20 products, 1 posting account
  • Pro$19/mo50 credits a month, 250 products, 3 posting accounts, 2 videos at once. $190 a year if paid annually.

  • Scale$99/mo500 credits a month, 5,000 products, 20 posting accounts, 6 videos at once. $990 a year if paid annually.

A Standard video uses 1 credit and a Premium video uses 2. Credits are charged only when a video finishes, so a failed video costs nothing. Subscribers can add credit packs (20 for $7, 60 for $18, 200 for $50) that never expire.

InVideo AI

  • Starter$20/mo, or $10/mo billed annuallyPer seat. 400 credits a month. Limited to some Seedance models.
  • Plus$60/mo, or $30/mo billed annuallyPer seat. 2,000 credits a month, about 35 clips at 720p or 20 at 1080p by InVideo's count.
  • Max$150/mo, or $75/mo billed annuallyPer seat. 5,000 credits a month, about 89 clips at 720p or 52 at 1080p by InVideo's count.

Per-seat prices as listed on October 16, 2026. No free plan is listed, unused credits don't roll over, and the page says InVideo may "update credit costs at any time, without prior notice."

What one short video costs

MakeBOF, one Standard video (1 credit): Pro is $19 ÷ 50 credits = $0.38. Max is $49 ÷ 200 = $0.245. Scale is $99 ÷ 500 = $0.198. Pro paid yearly is $190 ÷ 600 ≈ $0.32. A Premium video uses 2 or more credits, so it costs at least double.

InVideo AI, from the video counts on its pricing page (Seedance 2.5 clips priced per 5 seconds): Plus billed annually is $30 ÷ 35 ≈ $0.86 at 720p and $30 ÷ 20 = $1.50 at 1080p. Max billed annually is $75 ÷ 89 ≈ $0.84 at 720p and $75 ÷ 52 ≈ $1.44 at 1080p. Plus paid monthly is $60 ÷ 35 ≈ $1.71 at 720p.

A MakeBOF video runs about 8 seconds and InVideo's counts are for 5-second clips, so per second of video the gap is wider than these numbers show. InVideo can change its credit costs without notice, so treat its figures as a snapshot from October 16, 2026.

What is InVideo AI?

InVideo AI (invideo.io) is an AI video editor and generator for marketers, small businesses and agencies. It has a timeline editor, stock footage, an AI avatar tool and editing "agents", and you can generate clips with third-party models such as Veo, Sora, Kling and Seedance.

Its pricing and AI pages don't mention TikTok Shop, turning a product link into a video, or generating videos in batches. It's a tool for making any kind of video, and product promos are one of many uses.

How InVideo AI pricing and credits work

You pay per seat, and each seat gets a monthly credit allowance: 400 on Starter, 2,000 on Plus and 5,000 on Max. Every generation spends credits, and the amount depends on the model and resolution. On the pricing table, a Seedance 2.5 clip costs about 56 credits per 5 seconds at 720p and about 96 at 1080p. That's where the page's counts of 35 and 89 clips on Plus and Max come from.

Unused credits don't roll over to the next month. The pricing page also says: "We reserve the right to update credit costs at any time, without prior notice." Starter is limited to some Seedance models, and its listed count of 15 "Seedance 2 fast" videos gives no resolution or length, so we left it out of the per-video math.

Where InVideo AI is the better choice

InVideo AI covers far more kinds of video than MakeBOF does. It's the better pick when:

  • You need a video longer than one short clip. MakeBOF makes one clip of about 8 seconds per product and has no timeline editor. In InVideo you can cut several scenes together and fill gaps with stock footage.
  • You want to try one idea in several models. A single InVideo subscription covers a range of third-party video and image models, while MakeBOF gives you two tiers, Standard and Premium.
  • You want a presenter on screen. InVideo has an AI avatar tool, and MakeBOF has no talking avatars or voiceover. For avatar-led ads, our MakeBOF vs HeyGen page covers a tool built around them.
  • A team will share the work. InVideo's plans are priced per seat, and Plus and Max list extra guest seats.

Where MakeBOF is the better choice

MakeBOF is for TikTok Shop affiliates and sellers who post product videos every day. Paste a TikTok Shop product link or a shop or creator username and it pulls the listings with their photos, price and sales. You can bulk import, and set a source to re-scrape every 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours so new listings appear on their own.

Then you pick a style, such as GirlyPop UGC try-on, "That Price" in-store find, Flash Sale or Furniture in a real room, and every video in the batch follows it. You don't write prompts. For each product, the AI makes a product image, turns it into a 9:16 video of about 8 seconds, and burns on captions with emoji. Videos generate several at a time (2 at once on Pro, 4 on Max, 6 on Scale), the rest queue and start by themselves, and you can watch progress live.

A Standard video is 1 credit. A Premium video is 2 or more credits; it's multi-shot and uses several product photos as reference. Credits come off only when a video finishes, so a failed one costs nothing. We couldn't find anything on InVideo's pricing page about how failed generations are billed.

Workflow: making 30 product videos in each tool

In MakeBOF

Paste the username of a shop you promote. MakeBOF pulls its listings and you tick the 30 products you want. Choose one style, say Flash Sale, and queue the batch. On Max, 4 videos generate at a time and the other 26 wait their turn and start on their own. Each one comes back captioned, and you file it under the TikTok account you'll post it from. Thirty Standard videos use 30 credits, which fits inside Pro's 50.

In InVideo AI

We found no TikTok Shop import or batch mode on InVideo's pricing or AI pages, so you'd work product by product: save the listing photos, upload them, write or adjust a prompt, pick a model, generate, then edit and export. You get more control over each video and spend more time on each one. On credits, 30 five-second Seedance 2.5 clips at 720p come to about 30 × 56 = 1,680 credits, most of a Plus seat's 2,000 for the month.

Cost at real TikTok Shop volume

These figures use MakeBOF Standard videos and InVideo's own counts for 5-second clips on its Max plan billed annually.

100 videos a month

On MakeBOF, Max at $49 a month gives 200 credits, enough for 100 Standard videos or 100 Premium videos. Pro at $19 plus a 60-credit pack at $18 also works: $37 for 110 credits.

On InVideo AI, one Max seat ($75 a month, billed annually) covers 89 clips at 720p by InVideo's count, so 100 goes past it. At about $0.84 per 720p clip, 100 clips is roughly $84 of credit, and at 1080p ($1.44 each) it's about $144.

300 videos a month

On MakeBOF, Scale at $99 gives 500 credits, so 300 Standard videos leave 200 spare.

On InVideo AI, 300 clips at 720p is more than three Max seats' worth of credits (300 ÷ 89 ≈ 3.4). At the per-clip rates that's about $252 a month at 720p or $432 at 1080p.

450 videos a month

On MakeBOF it's still Scale at $99, using 450 of its 500 credits. On InVideo AI it's about $378 at 720p (450 × $0.84) or $648 at 1080p (450 × $1.44), and any credits you don't use in a slow month are gone.

InVideo's plans include more than these clips: the editor, stock footage, avatars and other models. If product clips are all you make, you'd be paying for a lot you don't use.

Questions people ask

How much does InVideo AI cost?

As listed on October 16, 2026, InVideo AI has three plans, priced per seat. Starter is $20 a month or $10 a month billed annually, with 400 credits. Plus is $60 or $30 with 2,000 credits, and Max is $150 or $75 with 5,000 credits. No free plan is listed. By InVideo's own counts, a 5-second 720p clip works out to about $0.84 to $1.71 depending on the plan and billing.

Is InVideo AI good for TikTok Shop?

It can make short promo clips, but its pricing and AI pages don't mention TikTok Shop, importing products from a link, or batch generation, so you'd set up each product by hand. That's fine for a few hero videos a week. If you post dozens of product videos a day, a tool that imports listings and runs batches will save a lot of time.

What's a cheaper InVideo AI alternative for TikTok Shop?

For short product videos, MakeBOF costs less per clip: $0.38 on Pro, $0.245 on Max and about $0.20 on Scale for a Standard video of about 8 seconds, against about $0.84 or more for a 5-second 720p clip on InVideo. If you need a full editor more than product clips, our MakeBOF vs Captions page compares another editing tool.

Do InVideo AI credits roll over?

No. InVideo's pricing page says unused credits don't roll over to the next month, and that it can update credit costs at any time without prior notice. MakeBOF's credit packs (20 for $7, 60 for $18, 200 for $50) never expire.

Does MakeBOF have AI avatars or a timeline editor like InVideo AI?

No. MakeBOF has no talking avatars, no voiceover and no timeline editor. Each product becomes one clip of about 8 seconds with captions, made in the style you picked. If you need longer edits or avatars, InVideo AI is the better fit for those videos.

Can I try MakeBOF before paying?

Yes. The Free plan gives you 10 credits a month, room for 20 products and 1 posting account, with no card needed. That's enough for 10 Standard videos to see how your products look. You can start free here.
