MakeBOF vs Topview: which fits TikTok Shop product videos?
If you're looking for a Topview alternative for TikTok Shop, or comparing MakeBOF vs Topview, the two can look alike. Both turn a product into short promo videos, and both make them in batches. Topview is a broad AI video agent for marketers and brands, with AI presenters, voice and captions in 30+ languages, and an API. MakeBOF is built for TikTok Shop affiliates and sellers. It pulls your products in from TikTok Shop and turns each one into an 8-second vertical video in a style you pick.
Prices are harder to line up than they look. Topview's pricing page shows annual-billing prices and doesn't say how many credits a finished video uses, while a MakeBOF Standard video is always 1 credit. MakeBOF starts free and Pro is $19 a month. Topview's lowest listed plan is $432 for a year.
The short answer
For a TikTok Shop affiliate who wants lots of short product videos across a few accounts, MakeBOF is the cheaper and simpler start: a free plan, Pro at $19 a month, products imported straight from TikTok Shop, and a fixed 1 credit per Standard video. If you need AI presenters, voiceover in other languages, longer ads or an API, pick Topview, which does all of that and MakeBOF doesn't. Its plans are sold by the year, so find out how many credits your kind of video uses before you pay.
Pick MakeBOF if
- You sell or promote on TikTok Shop and want to paste a product link or shop username and have the listings pulled in for you, with photos, price and sales.
- You want to know the cost before you start: 1 credit for a Standard video, 2 for Premium, charged only when the video finishes.
- You'd rather pick a ready-made style than write a prompt or script for every product.
- You want to start on a free plan, then pay month to month from $19.
- You post from several TikTok accounts and want finished videos kept sorted by account.
Pick Topview if
- You need an AI presenter talking to camera, with voiceover and lip sync.
- You sell in more than one language. Topview lists voice, captions and versions in 30+ languages.
- You want longer videos or many formats from one tool. Its avatar videos can run up to 180 seconds.
- You need an API or MCP access to plug video creation into your own tools.
- You want more jobs running at once. Ultra lists 12 concurrent tasks, and MakeBOF Scale runs 6 videos at once.

These are the annual-billing prices Topview's pricing page showed on October 16, 2026; we couldn't see monthly prices there. Each AI model and resolution has its own credit cost, and the page says unused monthly credits don't roll over to the next month.
What one short video costs
MakeBOF: a Standard video is 1 credit. Pro is $19 for 50 credits, so $19 / 50 = $0.38 a video. Max is $49 / 200 = $0.245 and Scale is $99 / 500 = $0.198. Paying Pro yearly, $190 / 600 credits comes to about $0.32. Premium videos use 2 or more credits, so they cost at least double.
Topview: we can't give an honest per-video number. Its pricing page lists credits per plan and a different credit cost for each AI model and resolution, but we couldn't find how many credits a finished product ad or avatar video uses. Per credit, the yearly plans work out to $432 / 1,200 = $0.36 on Plus, $528 / 3,000 = $0.176 on Business and $599.90 / 6,000 = about $0.10 on Ultra. A Topview credit and a MakeBOF credit are different units, so those figures can't be set against MakeBOF's per-video prices.
What is Topview AI?
Topview calls itself an AI video agent. You paste a product URL or a campaign brief and it builds a marketing video, including UGC-style ads with AI presenters, hooks and creator-style pacing. Around that sit many other tools: voiceover and captions in 30+ languages, lip sync, virtual try-on, product photography, video upscaling, and API and MCP access for developers.
Its site says it is built for film creators, micro-drama teams, marketers and e-commerce brands, and there's a Team plan for agencies and studios. It can batch-create short-form videos for TikTok, Reels and Shorts from one idea or set of assets. We couldn't find TikTok Shop mentioned anywhere on its site.
Where Topview is the better choice
If your video needs a person talking, Topview is the clear pick. MakeBOF has no avatars, no voiceover and no lip sync. Topview's presenters come with voiceover, and it can make versions of a video with voice and captions in 30+ languages. That matters if you sell outside the US or run ads in Spanish as well as English.
It also covers far more kinds of video. Avatar videos can run up to 180 seconds, it works as an editor as well as a generator, and developers get an API and MCP access. MakeBOF makes one clip of about 8 seconds per product and doesn't offer a customer API. Topview's plans also run more jobs at once: 4 on Plus and 12 on Ultra, where MakeBOF's top Scale plan runs 6.
On sticker price at the top end, Topview's Ultra plan ($599.90 a year) costs less than MakeBOF Scale ($990 a year). Whether it's cheaper per video depends on how many credits your videos use. If presenter ads are the main thing you want, compare it with Creatify and HeyGen as well.
Where MakeBOF is the better choice
MakeBOF is built around TikTok Shop. Paste a product link or a shop or creator username and it pulls the listings with photos, price and sales. You can bulk-import a whole shop and have it re-scraped every 1, 6, 12 or 24 hours, so new products show up without you copying links again.
You don't write prompts. You pick a style, such as GirlyPop UGC try-on, That Price in-store find, Flash Sale or Furniture in a real room, and every video in the batch follows it. Each product becomes an 8-second 9:16 clip. AI makes a styled image of the product, then a video from that image, and captions with emoji are burned on at the end.
The cost is easy to plan. A Standard video is 1 credit and a Premium video is 2, charged only when the video finishes, so a failed one costs nothing. The free plan has 10 credits a month and needs no card, and Pro is $19 month to month. If you post from several TikTok accounts, finished videos can be kept sorted by account, from 1 account on Free up to 20 on Scale.
Workflow: making 30 product videos in each tool
Say you're an affiliate with 30 kitchen products you want videos for this week.
In MakeBOF
Paste the shop username or the product links and the 30 listings come in with their photos. Pick one style, select all 30 and queue them. On Pro, 2 videos generate at a time and the rest start on their own as slots free up, and you can watch each one's progress live. With Standard videos the batch uses 30 credits, which fits inside Pro's 50 a month. Finished videos land in your library, sorted by the account you'll post them from.
In Topview
Topview takes product URLs, so you'd add each product by its link or write a brief, then choose the kind of video, such as a UGC ad with a presenter. Plus runs up to 4 tasks at once. You have more to decide per video, like presenter, voice and language, which helps when you want those choices and adds steps when you don't. How many credits the 30 videos use depends on the models and settings you pick, and we couldn't find a figure for that on its site.
Cost at real TikTok Shop volume
Posting 3 videos a day on one account is about 90 videos a month. Posting 5 a day across 3 accounts is about 450. With MakeBOF Standard videos:
- About 100 a month: Pro plus one 60-credit pack is 110 credits for $37. Max gives 200 credits for $49 if you'd rather have room to spare.
- About 300 a month: Max plus two 60-credit packs is 320 credits for $85, or Scale gives 500 credits for $99.
- About 450 a month: Scale at $99 covers it, which is $99 / 450 = $0.22 per video posted.
Premium videos use twice the credits, so plan on double if you use them for everything.
We can't run the same sums for Topview without knowing credits per video. Its single-user plans range from $432 to $599.90 a year. Before paying for a year, ask Topview how many credits the kind of video you want uses, then divide the plan's credits by that number to see how many videos you'd get.
Questions people ask
How much does Topview cost?
On October 16, 2026, Topview's pricing page listed annual-billing prices: Plus at $36 a month ($432 a year, 100 credits a month), Business at $44 a month ($528 a year, 3,000 credits a year given up front), Ultra at $50 a month ($599.90 a year, 500 credits a month) and Team at $56 per seat a month with a 2-seat minimum. Business, Ultra and Team showed higher list prices struck through. Enterprise pricing is custom.
Does Topview have a free plan?
We didn't find a free plan or free trial on Topview's pricing page. MakeBOF has a free plan with 10 credits a month, enough for 10 Standard videos, and you can sign up without a card.
Is Topview good for TikTok Shop?
It can make short vertical ads for TikTok from a product URL, and its UGC-style presenters suit TikTok ads. Its site doesn't mention TikTok Shop, though, and we found no import of shop listings, sales data or scheduled re-scraping. For an affiliate posting many plain product videos, MakeBOF handles those parts. For ads with a presenter or in other languages, Topview is the stronger tool.
What's a cheaper Topview alternative for TikTok Shop?
MakeBOF starts free, and Pro is $19 a month or $190 a year, against $432 a year for Topview's lowest listed plan. A Standard video costs 1 credit, so Pro works out to $0.38 a video and Scale to $0.198. The trade-off is that MakeBOF makes one kind of video: an 8-second clip with captions and no presenter or voiceover.
What do Topview AI reviews say?
Topview had a 3.9 rating from 324 reviews on Trustpilot when we checked. A theme that comes up often is credits getting used up faster than people expected. Its pricing page also says unused monthly credits don't roll over. MakeBOF's credit packs never expire, and a failed video uses no credits.
Can MakeBOF make avatar or voiceover videos like Topview?
No. MakeBOF has no talking avatars or AI presenters, no voiceover or dubbing, and no timeline editor. Each product gets one clip of about 8 seconds with English captions. If you need presenters, longer edits or other languages, Topview fits better, and for full edits with stock footage InVideo AI is worth a look.
Does Topview have an API?
Yes. Topview lists API workflows and MCP access, so developers can connect it to their own tools. MakeBOF doesn't offer an API for customers.
